Max has experienced a potty blitz during No Pants Saturday. He has managed to pee on our floor, couch, shoes, and dog, but he’s also been able to “put peepee in the potty” four times (see sticker chart for proof). Due to his excellent urination skills, Max has earned himself a toy motorcycle. If he continues mastering the big boy potty, he will also receive a nerf football and a non-Orwellian animal farm.

At daycare today, Max used the big boy potty for the first time — this past week of M&M bribes has been a resounding success.

It was clear that the entire daycare staff was excited for Max…I’m sure they are looking forward to one less diaper to change. When they told us that Max used the potty, he smiled and said, “Dadda potty, dadda, potty.” I said, “Yes, Max, you used the big boy potty just like Dadda. But maybe shouldn’t talk about Dadda using the potty right now.” I was a tad bit uncomfortable talking about my use of the potty in front of all the nineteen-year-old girls who work at the daycare.

I’m sick of marketing. There is no need whatsoever for KFC to provide me with a website to store my secrets. Seriously. Piss off.

I’ve managed to find the time to finish the first two levels of Spore and I am attached to the little being I’ve created. Here’s a picture of my creation at the second level of the game:

Intelligent design is fun!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything substantial, but I have a good reason. I’m teaching again (landed a job in Phoenix), which means I am exhausted and I have little free time. It’s a good school, though, with a good administration, so I’m adjusting well.

What’s most depressing is that I’ve had little time to devote to twitter, my true internet love. I did, however, make the time to share this revelation:
